YaraVita Seniphos is one of the range of "Foliar Phosphorus" products from Yara. These concentrated liquid products are designed to provide a fast acting fuel for plant energy, to boost crops during periods of rapid growth or to help crops overcome adverse climatic conditions. YaraVita Seniphos also contains calcium making it the normal choice for application to fruit crops.

YaraVita Seniphos is much more effective than either ammonium or potassium based products which can either cause fruit damage or induce calcium related disorders (bitter pit, fruit softening, etc). Trials have consistently shown YaraVita Seniphos to be safe and effective at raising fruit phosphorus levels, giving improved quality (firmness, storability, etc) and better returns to growers. In many countries it has become an industry "benchmark".

The liquid formulation makes it easy to measure, pour and mix the product in the spray tank.

The product is specifically formulated to provide maximum crop safety. This helps to ensure that application will not cause damage to the crop which can reduce it's market value.

The purity of raw materials selected for this product makes it safe for application to the crop and helps ensure that the harvested produce will not be rejected at any point in the supply chain.

Product Application Advice

Almond

Almond: Two to five applications of 10 l/ha (or three applications of 12.5 l/ha) at 7 to 14 day intervals commencing at petal fall. Water rate: 500 to 1000 l/ha.

Apples

Apple: 3 to 5 applications of 10-12.5 L/ha at 7 to 10 day intervals commencing 1 week after petal fall. Water rate: 500-1000 L/ha. When using in a tank mix with Stopit the higher water rate must be used. Top Fruit Colour Enhancement: Seniphos at 10 L/ha in 500-1,000 L/ha water has been shown to enhance red colour development in apples, peaches and plums. Seniphos used for this purpose should be used alone and not mixed with other agro- chemicals. 1 or 2 applications (7 days apart) should be made once the fruit has started to change colour, normally 2 to 3 weeks before harvest.

Asparagus

Asparagus: 3 applications of 5 L/ha applied to ferns prior to senescence. Water rate: 200-500 L/ha.

Aubergine

Eggplant (field grown): Two to three applications of 5 L/ha at 10 to 20 day intervals, commencing at fruit set. Water rate: 500 L/ha.

Beans

Beans: 5 L/ha when crop is 15 cm tall. Repeat at 10 to 14 day intervals if necessary. Water rate: 30-200 L/ha.

Brassica Vegetables

Brassicas: 2 to 3 applications of 10 L/ha from stem extension/head development at 7 to 10 day intervals. Water rate: 200-500 L/ha.

Broccoli

Broccoli: 2 to 3 applications of 10 l/ha from stem extension/head development at 7 to 14 day intervals. Water rate: 75 to 200 l/ha.

Brussel Sprouts

Brussel Sprouts: 2 to 3 applications of 10 l/ha from stem extension/head development at 7 to 14 day intervals. Water rate: 75 to 200 l/ha.

Cabbage

Cabbage: 2 to 3 applications of 10 l/ha from stem extension/head development at 7 to 14 day intervals. Water rate: 75 to 200 l/ha.

Carrots

Carrot: 5 L/ha. 2 to 3 applications when crop is 15 cm tall and at 7 to 10 day intervals. Water rate: 200 L/ha.

Cauliflower

Cauliflower: 2 to 3 applications of 10 l/ha from stem extension/head development at 7 to 14 day intervals. Water rate: 75 to 200 l/ha.

Citrus

Citrus: 10 L/ha at fruit set with 1 to 2 further applications at 7 to 10 day intervals. Water rate: 500-1000 L/ha.

Cucumber

Cucumber (field grown): 3 to 5 applications of 5 L/ha at 7 day intervals, commencing at first flowers through fruit expansion. Water rate: 200-500 L/ha.

Cucurbits

Cucurbits (field grown): 3 to 5 applications of 5 L/ha at 7 day intervals, commencing at first flowers through fruit expansion. Water rate: 200-500 L/ha.

Figs

Figs: 3 to 8 applications of 10 l/ha at 10 to 14 day intervals commencing at petal fall. Water rate: 500 l/ha.

Garlic

Garlic: 1 to 2 applications of 5 l/ha during bulb filling, with a 10 to 14 day interval between sprays. Water rate: 75 to 200 l/ha.

Ginger

Ginger: 5 l/ha before root bulking. Water rate: 500 l/ha.

Grapevines

Grapevines: 3 to 5 applications of 10 L/ha beginning at fruit set and repeated at 7 to 10 day intervals. Water rate: 500-1000 L/ha.

Hops

Hops: 4 applications of 10 l/ha commencing when crop starts to burr, with 3 further applications at 14 day intervals. Water rate: 500 l/ha

Kiwi

Kiwi: 4 applications of 10 L/ha commencing post blossom and repeated at 10 to 14 day intervals. Water rate: 500-1000 L/ha.

Leek

Leek: 5 l/ha applied from two weeks after transplanting, or in the case of direct sown crops when the crop is 15 cm tall. Repeat applications may be necessary at 10 to 14 day intervals. Water rate: 200 l/ha.

Lettuce

Lettuce (field grown): 2 to 3 applications of 5 L/ha commencing 10 to 14 days after transplanting or emergence with 7 to 10 days intervals between applications. Water rate: 200-500 L/ha.

Longan

Longan: 5 L/ha applied twice during fruit development at a 10 to 14 day interval. Water rate: 500 L/ha.

Lupin

Lupin: 5 l/ha at the 4 to 6 leaf stage. Repeat once or twice at 10 to 14 day intervals if necessary. (For winter varieties apply the repeat sprays at spring re-growth). Water rate: 30 to 200 l/ha.

Lychee

Lychee: 5 L/ha applied twice during fruit development at a 10 to 14 day interval. Water rate: 500 L/ha.

Maize

Sweetcorn: 5 l/ha at 4 to 8 leaf stage. Water rate: 30 to 200 l/ha.

Melons

Melon (field grown): 3 to 5 applications of 5 L/ha at 7 day intervals, commencing at first flowers through fruit expansion. Water rate: 200-500 L/ha.

Olives

Olive: 10 L/ha before flowering. Repeat at 10 L/ha 10 to 14 days after flowering. Water rate: 200-1000 L/ha.

Onions

Onion: 1 to 2 applications of 5 L/ha during bulb filling. Water rate: 200-500 L/ha.

Papaya / Paw Paw

Pawpaw: 3 applications of 5 L/ha commencing at early fruit development. Water rate: 500-1000 L/ha.

Peach

Pineapple

Pineapple: 5 L/ha at 4 to 6 week intervals commencing at early fruit development. Water rate: 200-500 L/ha.

Plums

Plum: 3 applications of 10 to 12.5 L/ha commencing 3 to 7 days after petal fall and repeated at 7 to 10 day intervals. Water rate: 500-1000 L/ha. Protected Crops

Protected Crops: 0.5 litres per 100 litres water maximum concentration. Water rate : 1000 l/ha maximum. Refer to equivalent field grown crop for application timing.

Pumpkin

Pumpkin (field grown): 3 to 5 applications of 5 L/ha at 7 day intervals, commencing at first flowers through fruit expansion. Water rate: 200-500 L/ha.

Raspberries

Raspberry: 3 applications of 10 l/ha. Start of flowering, end of flowering, and fruit development. Water rate: 500 l/ha.

Squash (Field Grown)

Squash (field grown): 3 to 5 applications of 5 L/ha at 7 day intervals, commencing at first flowers through fruit expansion. Water rate: 200-500 L/ha.

Strawberries

Strawberry (field grown): Repeat applications of 5 L/ha from the start of flowering at 7 to 10 day intervals. Water rate: 200-500 L/ha.

Sweet Potato

Sweet Potato: 5 L/ha one week after 100% emergence or transplanting. Repeat applications during tuber bulking at 10 to 14 day intervals. Water rate: 200 L/ha.

Water Melon

Water Melon (field grown): 3 to 5 applications of 5 L/ha at 7 day intervals, commencing at first flowers through fruit expansion. Water rate: 200-500 L/ha.

Zucchini
