Sulphur deficiency-Potatoes

Symptoms
The pale green/yellow leaves (left) are reduced in size and growth may be stunted. Often seen on younger leaves first.

Reasons
Severe Sulphur deficiency. Nitrogen deficiency, nightfrosts, water shortage or heavy metal toxicity can cause similar symptoms. May occur in patches due to soil type.

Symptoms
The entire foliage - beginning at the younger leaves - turns pale green. Additionally, a purple tint may occur on stems, leaf stalks and leaf edges. The veins are often lighter than blade.

Symptoms start on young leaves. They are pale yellow and smaller than normal. The youngest leaves are bright yellow.
